These greeting cards with matching envelopes are fashioned from traditional Japanese paper, or washi, and vintage kimono fabric.
The fabric comes from the traditional formal dress kimono for children worn at their 7-5-3 ceremonies. These are rites of passage held for children when they reach 3 and 7 years of age (girls) and 5 years of age (boys).
